Around 100 years ago the first summer tourists from Vienna found their way to a small waterside area on the opposite side of the lake. Back then, this small waterside area was the only access to the lake, which was a path created and used by farmers to supply their animals with the fresh water of the lake. The tourists used home-made rafts to paddle across the lake towards the shallow and sandy Amerika-Holzer beach, which was the ideal place to go for a swim, suntan and relax.
That is how – inspired by the big brother across the Atlantic Ocean - the newly discovered piece of land was given the name “Amerika Land”. Michael Holzer saw the touristic potential and bought this piece of land, in order to build the lake’s first beach apartment house in 1927 – the cornerstone for our 4-star Superior lake resort was laid.
What started with a simple apartment house in 1927 has developed into one of the most beautiful lakeside resorts with the longest private beach at the lake Klopein. It took many steps to convert the once small guest house into a 4-star Superior hotel at the lake Klopein, which today offers a stunning and luxurious holiday experience for visitors from all over the world.
The large hotel site of our 4-star Superior hotel at the lake Klopein provides a lot of space, many recreational opportunities and a lot of green. ‘Holidays and wellness’ is our claim. Our unique and friendly atmosphere enabled us to be the holiday destinations for more than 70% of our regular guest – the evidence that we live up to the high standards.
